Pinot Blanc - Grape Variety

Pinot Blanc is just one of the many members of the Pinot family from Burgundy; this particular mutation was identified in the 19th century and, as the name suggests, has white berries. It produces wines which are rounded in character with relatively low acidity and a gently perfumed character. Pinot Blanc wines can be perfect when an easy-drinking wine is required. It is planted throughout the European wine-growing regions including Alsace, Germany, Austria and northern Italy, and to a lesser extent in the New World.
