Sparkling Wines

Sparkling wine is any wine that releases dissolved Carbon Dioxide for a period after opening and being poured, remaining fizzy in the glass for a significant period of time. Sparkling wines can be made in various ways and be fizzy to varying degrees. Champagne method requires secondary fermentation (when the gas is dissolved in the wine) to take place in bottle. Most Prosecco is made sparkling in large tanks by the Charmat method before being bottled. Sparkling wines, produced by various methods, are made around the world and are very popular with wine lovers.
