Is it hard to believe that this wine is still on our broking list after so long. A glance at the price and one perhaps can understand the reticence of potential purchasers. However, old and exceptionally fine things always command a premium.
And when one considers that the only other stock being advertised in the UK is a 3 litre bottle at considerably more than four times the price of this listing, one might think again.
Know someone having a sixty-second birthday? Or simply feel an urge to explore the outer limits of what can be produced by the long ageing of port in cask? Look no further!

"Charles admits it’s difficult to say which he prefers (vintage or tawny); I think I prefer the old tawny. Firm finish, very fresh and lively. Some light astringency on the end. Less sweet and smooth than the vintage wine but very powerful. Very long indeed. Very sweet start and then a dry, fresh finish. Lots of freshness. 19.5/20." Jancis Robinson
All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
