Domaine Rossignol-Trapet was created in 1990 in Gevrey-Chambertin through the joining in marriage of two ancient Burgundy dynasties: the Rossignols of Volnay and the Trapets, who originated in Chambolle, but moved to Gevrey many years ago. The estate is now biodynamic and run by Nicolas and David Rossignol.

"A very subtle hint of wood frames the particularly cool and ultra-restrained nose of brooding dark berry fruit, stone and humus. There is an impressive level of mouth coating dry extract that also buffers the very firm but fine tannins on the powerful, serious and imposingly intense flavors that possess outstanding length and a bit less youthful austerity than I typically find with this wine in its infancy." Burghound
All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
