2018 Montagny Village Les Reculerons Blanc, Château de Chamilly

The Château de Chamilly was built in the 17th century by Noël Bouton, who was lieutenant general to Louis XIV. The Desfontaine family bought the property and surrounding land at the beginning of the 19th century and are engaged in a constant project of restoration of the château. The property, in the north of the Côtes Chalonnaises just 20 minute south of Beaune, is now run by borthers Xavier and Arnaud Desfontaine.

Tasting Notes
Nose a delightful mélange of salted green apples, grapefruit and fried flowers. Palate of delicious apple fruit with a firm and upright core of fresh structure. Very long wine to a spicy death. Delicious! Bowes Wine original note

All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
