Bedrock Wine Co. was started in 2007 by Morgan Twain-Peterson. Since its foundation, wine making facilities have moved from the original chicken coop to a dedicated warehouse via a friends winery. Bedrock's aim is to preserve and rehabilitate old vineyards around California.

N.B. Whilst the core of this wine is made up of Zinfandel, Mourvèdre and Carignan, it contains over 20 other varieties, inter-planted in the same vineyard in 1888. This is deep in the glass, but not opaque. Aromas are on the red wild fruits, notes of dry spice, smoke and mint. Entry is nicely dense; easy. There's something really rather nutty here. Fruit on the palate is darker, of blackcurrant and plum, taking on a granular minerality in its really quite assertive structure. There's a herbal nuance through this, right to the superbly lively death. Brilliant wine from the first vineyard that Bedrock exploited. Bowes Wine original note
"This compelling Heritage Wine will find its greatest admirers among readers who enjoy old-school, structured wines." Antonio Galloni
All our wines are given a Sweetness Indicator from 1 to 5, with 1 being the driest and 5 being the sweetest.
This can be found for every wine under the Wine Details tab.
Most red wines are dry and therefore are indicated with a 1. The sweetness becomes more relevant with white wines, sparkling wines and pudding/dessert wines such as Sauternes and Tokaji.
